There’s something magical about a summer sunset, especially when you get to spend it photographing two people completely in love. Leslie and Gabriel chose the perfect setting for their Missouri engagement photoshoot, a glowing sunflower field. Even though it was a warm day (classic Missouri summer), these two absolutely radiated joy. The sun, the flowers, and their smiles made every photo feel warm and golden.
I worked on providing them prompts and poses to capture their candid moments and soft, romantic portraits. The sunflower field added such a dreamy, vibrant backdrop — the kind that makes engagement sessions feel timeless.
Once the sun dipped lower, we headed over to a nearby park to finish the shoot. Leslie and Gabriel’s two pups joined us for the final part of their engagement session with dogs. Their pups brought so much personality and fun to the evening, and we were able to capture some sweet family-style photos that I hope they’ll treasure forever.
I love sessions like this because they’re such a beautiful mix of love, laughter, and natural Missouri scenery. Whether it’s running through a sunflower field or cuddling up with your dogs at the park, these are the moments that make engagement photography in Missouri feel so special.
